Dictation For Beginners
Today, I decided to cut a short video on one of the new features in OS X Mavericks called dictation. Not before, you needed to have an Internet connection in order to do Siri like dictation.
However, today when I went to go ahead and started some dictation. I noticed a pop up that came up and a checkbox in that pop-up window.
It said something like, would you like to download a file so that you do not need to have an Internet connection to do dictation?
The one drawback, however, is this file that you download is going to be approximately 750MB.
A relatively fast Internet connection, this will take you about 5 to 10 minutes. Internet connections as of today, are not fast but they sure don’t crawl like a worm either.
So, go ahead and take a look at the video, it’s a short one – approximately a couple of minutes. By the way, I used the dictation to write this blog and I did very little in editing to make sure that this looks good.
ENJOY, OS X Mavericks Dictation!
I hope this review on OS X Mavericks dictation was useful to you and I look forward to seeing you in the next blog post and/or video.
