It’s that dreaded question that almost every new business owner frets. Its a question that, quite frankly has too much anxiety living around it. That question is “how much money have you made so far?”
If you listen to those that have just started you’ll quite often hear them say:
What do I do if they ask me how much I have made? They won’t want to join me if they know I just started and haven’t made anything yet.
Other things that people may consider is to blatantly lie about how much they have made. So, this presents itself as an issue that needs to be corrected.
Here’s a quick Facebook Live video that I did to answer this very question.

I know you can just tweet this out or copy and paste it into a marketing email. But if people know you and know you wouldn’t respond to this question or any question in this manner. Find a way to convey this in your own voice.
Since this post is all about brevity, you’ll want to remember these guidelines.
- Be completely honest.
- Show your prospect that it’s not about the money you have made but how you can help THEM make money.
Most of the time when a question like this is answered, the prospect is either terrified of success in their life, or it’s a safe way to say no to you.
