Better Marketing In 4 Simple Steps
Getting traction in your business could be as simple as putting these 4 simple steps to better marketing into your business today!
There are several ways to market in a business but today I’m going to tell you 4 steps to better marketing.
In my career in marketing I have learned many things throughout the past few years. one story that I think is very relevant is the one that is about a friend I know who started a business with all the right intensions, but the strategies that he used were not proven strategies. Needless to say, the money that he had saved up went to those shiny objects
As you watch, you can follow along with me in Eric’s Book, Pg. 46.
Also, if you’re not already the owner of the book I’m referring to, then I highly suggest you take a moment to go over to amazon to get this book, GoPro by Eric Worre.
Step 1- Detach Yourself From the Outcome
So many of us who are new to marketing or those that have “tried” to sell or market something either on-line or off-line are so eager to make an emotional decision based on what the person or persons will decide on with your offer.
Do not attach yourself with the outcome. Simply say, “next!” if that helps you to move on.
“If you focus on education and understanding, you’ll have fun and your prospects will enjoy the experience.” – Eric Worre
Step 2- Be Yourself
For no other reason than knowing who you are and what you stand for, you need to be yourself.
When you start showing or acting like someone else you are bound to becoming someone you are not ALL the time.
How uncomfortable is that going to be for you when you hit the stage and then the big reveal is not a celebration but an embarrassment?
Start simple. Know that better marketing requires you to be honest with others above all!
Show everyone who you are because you’re the only one in the world that can do that.
Step 3 – Passion Allows Better Marketing
In some of my earlier and some of the not so “earlier” blogs and vLogs, I was sort of monotone. No passion. At least by the way I view myself.
The best way to really tell if you’re showing off enough of the passion that you should be is to ask your significant other, spouse, family member, or someone that knows you best. The key here is PASSION.
What is passion by definition?
Have you ever felt this type of emotion from within yourself? It’s almost uncontrollable – yet we do control it.
This is what you need to convey to others when you see something you believe in so immensely that you know others will benefit from it without a shadow of a doubt.
Step 4 – Strong posture
Strong posture is something that is not really taught to kids growing up in the public and private systems. It’s a key ingredient though and a must for those that are going to succeed.
I’ve struggled with this through my early years and only recently been much more comfortable with my face on the camera and the sound of my voice. Little did I know that some of these key elements and skills would impact things all around my life – including my ability to do better marketing. I am continually growing though and have some areas to learn and accept about myself. The biggest part about this is that I’m continually learning and growing through this.
Marketing isn’t about selling, it’s about learning more about yourself and how to interact and communicate with others. When you can learn these skills, you will see great success!
In the video, I showed you a couple of the postures that people take when they aren’t confident in what they are or are representing. I know there are much more subtle things that people do to show insecurities. However, the goal is to start with the big stuff first and then grow as an individual. This alone will start the balls rolling down hill and crush the small things without a second thought.
I’ve been in the arena of marketing from home to generate an income that most will not generate because they won’t do what I’m doing – even if it’s simple to do. If you’d like to find out what I’m doing to earn while I sleep, have fun, and travel, then I’d like to invite you to get more info and then lets talk.
